“In this world, it’s just us. You know it’s not the same as it was. As it was, as it was. You know it’s not the same”.

Harry Styles

Becky and Jamie’s early September wedding was either a lovely cool late summer’s day or a gorgeously warm early autumn day depending on your point of view!

I started at Becky’s home to capture some of the bridal preparations and the usual wedding morning shenanigans! Becky had the most beautiful classic silver grey Bentley S1 saloon car from the 1950s to take her and dad the short drive to Shustoke Barns Wedding Venue.

Shustoke Barns is one of the most beautiful spaces to hold a wedding. With its high vaulted roof, gorgeous real candle chandeliers and exposed wood and brick it’s almost church like! Throw in a stunning courtyard, olive trees, firepits, festoon lights, massive arched wooden doors and a contrasting modern artificial lighting design it certainly has the wow factor!

After the speeches Becky, Jamie and I went for a little wander down the long driveway that winds through the grounds of Shustoke. We were blessed with one of a wedding photographers favourite lighting situations, beautiful evening golden light! Golden light is that lovely sunset (or sunrise!) light hued with lovely warm, golden tones. It was just the most perfect lighting situation where the sun was setting behind Becky and Jamie creating a lovely rim light around the two of them, this is accentuated even more when the background is dark and so creates a wonderful romantic halo type effect. Check out the photos below to see what I mean.

After this we were back to the barn for the evening party and just check out how spectacular the barn interior looks when lit up at night!

I hope you enjoy this little snapshot of Becky and Jamie’s day.
