WOW!!! This is the best word to start with. Wootton Park is an amazing venue that I can’t recommend highly enough.

Wootton Park wedding venue.

The words “unique wedding venue” are used a lot in the wedding industry. But in the case of Wootton Park they really are an appropriate and deserved description. With no less than four ceremony areas, they really pride themselves on giving you the opportunity to create and tailor your day to match your wedding dreams.

You can choose to have your ceremony in the barn, in a woodland area, with a panoramic hilltop vista or the beautiful lakeside ceremony spot. All surrounded by 360 acres of rolling hills and valleys of Warwickshire. Even with all this space and ceremony opportunities Wootton Park only allow one ceremony a day giving you exclusive use to have everything you want your way. I remember a few years ago I photographed a wedding at another large Warwickshire wedding venue, this one having more than one wedding a day. A couple of times throughout the day it felt like we were being awkwardly pushed along or held back at certain points. Only after a while did I realise it must be to allow the other wedding party to move through the venue! Also there’s nothing worse than two wedding parties and wedding photographers jostling over the best photo spots! Fight, fight, fight, fight!

Eco Friendly wedding venue.

Another element I like about Wootton is its green credentials. Using a mixture of solar and biomass energy it’s able to heat and provide hot water to the various wedding buildings and guest’s accommodation blocks. Talking of guest’s accommodation there is scope for up to 39 guests to stay in either the Farmhouse, Bakehouse or one of the many on site glamping pods! Along with these wedding guests can also book camping pitches to stay on the night of the wedding. Festival type wedding anyone!?

Tranquil and charming.

I can vouch for the charm of the Farmhouse. A 450-year-old, beautifully and thoughtfully renovated rural sanctuary providing the opportunity to wake up on your wedding morning in the most tranquil and serene surroundings.

With all this talk of tranquillity and serenity you may think that Wootton Park is in the middle of nowhere. It’s less than a 10 minute drive from the nearest motorway junction and probably no more than 20 to Birmingham international airport and train station! One of the great benefits of being in the middle of the country is that it’s a great location for couples whose families live miles away from each other. Imagine, the bride’s from Bristol, the groom’s from Leeds, they went to university in, and lots of their friends live in, Manchester and Durham. They now live in London! What better location to get married than a spot only a few miles from Meriden, for centuries known as the middle of England.

One of the things most couples say they like about my photography style is how natural and unposed my couples look in their photographs. I’ll let you into a big secret, most of my couples portraits are posed, I’ve set them up! (you can see how I do it here). Don’t worry I don’t take you away for hours to get some beautiful shots of you two together. I normally need just two lots of 10 minutes throughout the whole of your day.

One of the things I need to get those natural wedding photos of you is space! There’s just no way you two are going to be relaxed, playful and lovey dovey with each other if you can be seen by all your guests and family. Luckily Wootton has enough space to get away from it all for a few minutes. To go for your first little stroll together as a married couple!

During this stroll I’ll be snapping away and every now and again I’ll get you to stop, semi pose you, encourage you to interact with each other and get some beauties like these.

What about the party!

It’s no exaggeration to say the dance floor at Wootton is huge, there’s loads of space for your friends to throw shapes and own the dancefloor! I think it’s also pretty unique, compared to most wedding venues, that bands and DJs set up above the dancefloor on a slightly higher raised stage area.

Also, another big plus, is that because it’s set in its own 360 acre grounds there’s no problem with neighbours complaining about the noise! Some venues I’ve been to have their parties spoilt by the dreaded “noise limiter” that cuts off the power if the noise gets too loud. Believe me, nothing spoils the disco vibe more than a noise limiter!

I would love to be the photographer for your wedding.

I’ve photographed many weddings at Wootton and it would be great if you would consider me for your day. To check my availability and to get my latest pricing (prices start from £645 for part day) and an information brochure please contact through the contact page.
