Getting married at Nuthurst Grange?
Nuthurst Grange is a stunning luxurious wedding venue in the heart of the country. Set in 7 acres of Warwickshire countryside it has both modern and older elements that combine to create a wonderful place to get married. With its easy accessibility from nearby motorway, air and rail links, it’s in the ideal location for those weddings consisting of families and friends that are spread out all over the country, while still being a local hidden gem for those nearby.
Although the main house was built around 1880 the actual place of Nuthurst is much much older having been mentioned in the land records of Warwickshire since 709 AD. Recently The Stables facilities have been renovated to create a wonderful stylish barn wedding venue.
I’ve been lucky enough to shoot many weddings over the past few years and I share some of those images below. I hope they give you a guide to weddings at Nuthurst and also a taste of my photography style.

Wedding Photography at Nuthurst Grange.
I’ve lost count of how many weddings I’ve photographed at Nuthurst. The great thing is though, because the grounds are so vast and the interiors so nice, there’s always the ability to get lots of variety for your photos
It’s interesting actually. When I first started as a photographer I used to be slightly concerned if I hadn’t shot at a venue before. Now though I get more concerned if it’s a venue I have shot at many times. I’m concerned I’m going to fall in to a formulaic trap of “this is great spot, here’s nice. There’s a lovely bit over there” etc. Don’t get me wrong there’s a lot to be said for knowing the venue and it’s best spots but just as important to me is an element of spontaneity, particularly with the couples portraits. I’m looking for the natural, candid, spontaneous moments between you two rather than a set up pose in a certain pre-determined location.
As I said though Nuthurst has so many great spots it’s easy to keep it fresh and mixed up. The grounds in particular require a special mention, they are beautifully landscaped with some gorgeous classical statues and bronze sculptures.
Always a great party!
I always have a great time at wedding receptions here. I like that the dancefloor area and bar are in close proximity to each other so everyone can be close together. From memory I seem to remember that the dancefloor has been in three different areas so there’s plenty of scope to have the layout you want.
Another thing to mention is that because weddings are held in the stable block, which is a minute walk from the main house and bedrooms, there is no issue with noise affecting guests. So many hotel venues suffer from having a noise limiter that cuts the power if the music gets too loud. Believe me, nothing kills a party more than a noise limiter!
