Hampton manor

Hampton Manor wedding venue.

Hampton Manor wedding venue is a really beautiful, magical place to celebrate a marriage. Situated in the heart of the country. Straddling the boundaries of Warwickshire and the West Midlands it’s in the perfect location for friends, family and guests coming from all over the country. It’s situated near the M42/M40/M6 interchanges and with Birmingham airport and international train station both a short drive away I can’t think of too many other venues that have so many travelling options to get to. And I should know!

Now don’t get thinking that means it’s in an urban setting, it’s actually set in its own stunning 45 acre estate with lovely grounds and a walled garden providing ingredients for the manor’s very own Michelin starred Peel’s restaurant.

The history of Hampton Manor is as grand as it’s architecture. The original land was bought by Robert Peel, a former Prime Minister, and passed to his son Frederick who built the manor that stands today.

I hope the following photographs and information gives you an insight in to the manor and whether it’s the best wedding venue for you.

Wedding Photography at Hampton Manor wedding venue.

There’s a few things wedding photographers need to make great photos. Two of those things include environment and most importantly light. Not just any old light! Particularly with portrait photography we photographers are looking for soft, defused light that flatters our subjects. Window light provides one of the most beneficial types of this light as it creates lovely soft shadows, the light gently illuminates the subject and also creates engaging catch lights (the little highlights of light) in the eyes which really bring a portrait to life. Whoa getting carried away there! Anyway, Hampton Manor has so many window light opportunities you really are spoilt for choice. A particular favourite spot for me is the parlour which is exquisitely decorated and furnished and is a window lit portrait paradise!

What about the wedding party?

I love a great wedding party, who doesn’t? The evening receptions at Hampton Manor are held in the stunning courtyard. Every wedding I’ve photographed there has had a great atmosphere for the evening do. I also like that the bar is slightly partitioned away from the dancefloor. So those that want to chat can do so in the bar, while still being able to hear the music as the dancers throw their shapes on the floor.

Places to stay, nearby hotels etc.

Although there are rooms at the manor these are limited in number. Some local places to stay include:
