“Dramatic and distinctive. Shustoke Barn wedding venue is incredibly stylish, benefitting from a number of features that give it the wow factor.”
Shustoke Barn wedding venue.
Shustoke Barn wedding venue is, in my opinion, one of the best places to get married in Warwickshire. In the heart of the Midlands with great access from most parts of the country, close to the centre of the national motorway network (just a few minutes from M42/M6 interchange). Perfect for couples whose families live at opposite ends of the country and need a wedding venue that’s equidistant for everyone. Wow, never ever thought I would manage to get the word equidistant into a blog about wedding photography!
It’s run by Cripps and Co who have several wedding venue barns throughout the Midlands/North including Warwickshire, The Cotswolds, Derbyshire, Nottinghamshire and Yorkshire. You can find information on their other venues here Cripps and Co Wedding Venues.

Wedding Photography at Shustoke Barn wedding venue.
Two of the most important factors for beautiful portrait and wedding photography is light and environment. Luckily Shustoke is blessed with great examples of both. The ceremony itself takes place in the most wonderful pool of light created by massive glazed doors halfway down the barn. This soft diffused light generally falls beautifully on the bride’s face which gives her the most fantastic glow, just as she’s exchanging vows with her new husband. Perfect!
Also worth noting is the great atmosphere and ambience created by the artificial floor set LED lights and real flame candle lights (as opposed to the pretend “real flame candles”) that really set off the barn and give it a unique feel and look. It’s great to see the transition from daytime to night-time as the barn darkens and these lights create a stunning X factor. Throw in great disco lights, a cutting-edge sound system and a bit of dry ice smoke magic then it’s no wonder evening guests walking in to the main barn go “WOW”!
As well as this great interior space the exterior is also blessed with some brilliant photo spots including the courtyard, an avenue of trees festooned with hanging lights and also the wheat field adjacent to the barns.
Ain’t no party like a Shustoke wedding night party!
As well as the great light and environments at Shustoke the other thing I really like is that the dancefloor is set at one end of the barn. This means those that want to party can have a great time letting their hair down, those that want to sit and chat can do so at the other end of the barn, whilst still enjoying the music and atmosphere. If you really want to get away from the music you can go to the bar or the chill out area upstairs in an adjoining barn.
This other barn is also a great space to congregate should rain stop you using the courtyard. Sorry for bringing up the dreaded rain word when talking about your wedding! Having said that you can get some really great wedding photography using the rain instead of working against it, especially at night.
I would love to be the wedding photographer for your Shustoke Barn wedding.
Over the past few years I’ve shot dozens of weddings at the barns and it would be great if you would consider my wedding photography for your wedding. Places to stay, nearby hotels etc.
The barns don’t have any accommodation facilities so you’ll have to make arrangements to stay elsewhere. Three places I can recommend are:
The Lea Marston Hotel, The Granary at Dovehouse and also The Forest of Arden Hotel. These are all within a 10 minute drive.
